Renowned figure in American biker community Charlie Brechtel dies in motorcycle crash

Charlie Brechtel AKA “the motorcycle ambassador” and “Good Time Charlie” passed away Saturday April 28 in Copperopolis, California, after a fatal vehicle accident. Brechtel had been riding a 1987 Harley-Davidson when he and the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox collided. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to have been involved according to the California Highway Patrol.

As his handle of motorcycle ambassador would suggest, Brechtel was instrumental in spreading motorcycle appreciation and enthusiasm to wider audiences, his latest effort being his most recent movie Rough Boys which was close to the end of post-production before his untimely death. Brechtel was also embedded in the music scene, being the frontman of the Charlie Brechtel Band, performing at motorcycle events across the United States.
